Nomad

The early 13th century saw the Mongol Empire's massive conquests, leading to sweeping changes that affected Eastern Europe as well. But the main force in this expansion was the nomadic warriors. Not machinery, not new weapons, but simply the warrior on horseback, a fearsome and merciless weapon in itself. In this sculpture, I wanted to convey a sense of power and strength, the very essence of the nomad, and to achieve this, I abandoned additional attributes such as a sword or bow. Only the power of the horseman on horseback is present as a holistic image, a unified whole.
