Icarus
More
Icarus is a bronze sculpture by Sergei Oganov inspired by the mythological figure and the experience of adolescence. Here, the youthful nude figure represents the moment when childhood is already behind you and a sense of what you are capable of is only beginning to emerge. The desire for freedom goes hand in hand with risk: you want to take flight, test your strength, and discover the limits of what is possible. Sometimes blindfolded.
