Iron wolf

The work is entirely based on the Lithuanian myth of Prince Gediminas' dream, in which he saw an iron wolf – a vision that led him to establish Vilnius as the capital of his grand duchy. This is a static, symmetrical sculpture embodying primal power and protection, with a strikingly clear silhouette. The stylization emphasizes the importance and legendary status of this symbol. Essentially, it forms part of a diptych alongside the work Gediminas from the same period.
