The Gazing at the Sky sculpture is a visual paradox – a drowning body grows wings, and a crucifixion transforms into flight. The sinking ship, a symbol of transition (Charon’s ferry), here becomes an emblem of freedom – the wings. The outstretched arms no longer signify sacrifice, but liberation, acceptance, and hope. This work is the culmination of the series, the moment where all preceding themes (choice, trauma, solitude) merge into a single image.
